A test shoot with Ash.
She brought a whole heap of her own clothes & we spent the day experimenting. Looks, poses, shapes & space.
Espresso floors, cream walls, a little lavender.
She was magic.
No plan. Just wanting to experiment.
The studio was half empty. A C stand, a couple of boards for texture & colour, a couple of paper rolls, a couple of chairs. That was it.
I wanted to shoot someone in the room with how the room felt.
What the room became with a body in it.
A simple, grainy, editorial look. Playing with posing, light, texture & colour.
The espresso floor really inspired me.
It was about the feeling. How a room's energy can absorb someone.
A really beautiful day shooting with Jemma. She has such a natural way of bringing an idea to life, while making everything feel completely effortless.
